Kate Tsui attended the "Metro 2009 Hot Supported Newcomers Show" as newcomer in the music industry. During the part of "High Schooler's Most Admired Music Newcomer 2009", she pressured her competitors with nearly a 1000 votes ranking first place. Kate also performed hot dance and sing of Marvis Hui's "明知故犯". Unfortunately, she went off key during her performance. Although she has more experience than the other newcomers, but Kate still shouted that she was nervous: "This is the first time I did a line up singing one bye one performance, it felt like back in the day when I was in Miss Hong Kong, feeling nervous."
